A New Beginning...

We are off! Isibella is such a traveled baby. dave behind the wheel of the moving van and i driving the car with nanna and isibella packed in the back we drove through Oklahoma to Arkansas. The wind was so strong we had to stop for the night. isibella had such a blast crawling all over the beds at the hotel in little rock.

The drive through Mississippi and Alabama was gorgeous. Everything is so green and blooming!

Soon the sun fell and everything grew dark. the drive was less interesting and the book on tape became more interesting. It was nearly 11pm when we drove up the driveway at my friends house.

Ginger and I jumped into the car and quickly drove to Fort Gordon so I could sign in while it was still the 24th of March.

nanna is such a huge blessing! isibella has had so much fun playing with her! she has been so very happy and we have had so much fun spending special time with nanna!

We had been fervently praying that a home would be avail. for us by Tues or Wednesday. and God answered our prayers!

we sign a lease tomorrow for this beautiful 3br 2bath home in Grovetown. just 3min from post. it sits on 5 acres of woods. dimply perfect for us! God is Good! the funny thing is the front yard contains a historical landmark. the old remains of a graveyard. apparently, our leg-less neighbor loves to scare people off by talking about the graveyard.

see the stones? none of them are marked...but the ground sinks in front of the stones suggesting the the coffins have broken through from age.

Ginger and Richard have been so generous to share their home with us while we get moved in. :)

I hope that i can post pics of our home soon...before and after us moving in :)
we love and miss you all!
Thank-you so much for your prayers!

MOVING!!

packing is always a bigger job than expected...sigh

We are knee deep in all sorts of our stuff! I believe that one could get lost amid all the piles of boxes and bags. We are in a frenzy packing everything. We will be off to Georgia tomorrow!

So...we have so much history here we hopped in the car and said goodbye to all the momentous places we have been...
The Arcadia Lake where dave proposed

The door to our first apartment
and all sorts of other places. I would have put our first date on here...but sadly it had gone out of business.
Our adventure begins tomorrow...
Hopefully we will have a home within a week and i can share it with everyone!
Much love!

Getting Started

Welcome to our blog!

This journal is those who want to keep up with my little family's big life.

...Currently, our lifelong collection of belongings are in cardboard boxes held closed by means of army green duct tape (and all over the floor and furniture). We have no address to speak of. Our apartment will no longer be in our name...as will no other home...anywhere. I guess one could say we will be homeless very soon. We will be loading a giant U-haul full of stuff that we most likely don't need and departing Oklahoma to the Garden Sate (Georgia). I report for active duty at Fort Gordon, GA on Tuesday...that is this Tuesday (whew!). Dave and Isibella will have the grueling task of navigating around a new state looking for a place for us to live, while I have the exciting task of learning a new job.

...For those who are excruciatingly dedicated to keeping up with us, I would love to update my address book. Please send me your mailing addresses. ( I have high hopes of sending Christmas cards..haha).

Please be praying...

*the funds for travel will come in NLT Monday morning

*peace while packing

*safe travels to Georgia

*we will find a wonderful church body

*grace in each moment!

We will miss you all!
